Source term: bullroarer: mburere

mburere: bullroarer (Yamfinder, Len, Tais, Nicholas Evans field data)

At Tais, near the coast in the south of the Morehead district of Papua New Guinea, Len speakers call the bullroarer mburere. The name stands apart from the meyang and moiank of the Nambu languages to the north. Its echo lies in the other instrument of the region: burere, burara or burarè is the bamboo flute in Namo, Ndre and Nama.
