Ngarrooda; Yeemarree

Source term: small bullroarer; little bullroarer; long bullroarer

Ngarrooda: the small bullroarer. Yeemarree: the long bullroarer. Meetoo: circumcision knife. Dibbooroo: magic pearlshell.

Mundhongo, a Nunnagurdi man of Kunnalagunda and Arranooba in the Northampton district, named the bullroarer by its size: the little one was Ngarrooda, the long one Yeemarree. He set them among the things of men's ritual life, beside the circumcision knife, Meetoo, and the magic pearlshell, Dibbooroo. Northampton lies in the hills behind the coast north of Geraldton.
