Rofla French

Source term: rhombe en bois et ficelle

Rofla: quoted name in the Mucem title; language and literal meaning not verified

A long wooden board, one edge cut into deep saw-teeth, its cord knotted through a hole near the end — the photographer André Pelle found it at Château-Chervix in the Haute-Vienne countryside in 1980, and the Mucem archive titles his picture with a single word: Rofla.

Rofla. Rhombe en bois et ficelle.

Rofla. Wooden bullroarer and string.
