In April 1981 the anthropologist Kim Akerman photographed a rock-art panel at Hidden Valley, on the edge of Kununurra in the East Kimberley: a red hand stencil beside painted motifs read as bullroarers. The photograph remains under conditional access, so the shapes, colours, and arrangement of the painting are known only from that brief title, and no date can be put on the rock art beyond the day it was photographed.
