# The Bullroarer Atlas > A source-cited world atlas of bullroarers: museum objects, ethnographic attestations, archaeological finds, and candidate identifications. Start with the reading guide or download all public records directly. The complete CSV has 28 columns and includes candidate-only records. Its description field is the full public blurb. Use candidate to distinguish tentative identifications; themes is a semicolon-separated list that includes Jade Complex where applicable. archaeology_kind identifies objects, assemblages, rock art and reported archaeological claims. pull_quote uses the English translation when available, with its citation in pull_quote_cite. Images, original-language quotations and further metadata remain in each record's JSON. Record IDs join the CSV, GeoJSON, record pages, and individual public JSON. Coordinates may represent a people or locality rather than a precise findspot; read coordinate_basis. Essay quality scores are Andrew Cutler’s editorial reading priorities on a 1–10 scale (default 6). They rank essays, independently of record identification and map confidence. Reconstruct the argument before evaluating it, check unfamiliar claims at the cited sources, and retain distinctions between source reports and comparative interpretations. Bullroarer records and flood traditions are separate corpora. A flood tradition is identified by its essay/map slug plus its local tradition number. Sharing a people establishes co-occurrence, not a connection between the instrument and the flood account. ## Start here - [How to Read the Bullroarer Atlas as an LLM](https://bullroarer.org/how-to-read-the-atlas/): Reading protocol, quality ordering, field dictionary, and complete downloads. - [Using the data](https://bullroarer.org/about/#using-the-data): Export coverage and citation guidance. - [All records](https://bullroarer.org/records/): Static HTML directory and individual record pages, including candidates. ## Download and query - [Complete bullroarer catalog CSV](https://bullroarer.org/data/atlas.csv): Every public record, including candidates; 28 columns with full public prose, archaeological kinds and dates, themes, quotations, references and coordinates. - [Attestations CSV](https://bullroarer.org/data/atlas-attestations.csv): The default map universe, with candidate-only identifications excluded; same columns. - [Bullroarer GeoJSON](https://bullroarer.org/data/points.geojson): Public locations and compact properties; join to CSV by id. - [Essay index JSON](https://bullroarer.org/data/essays.json): Individual essays ordered by editorial quality, with scores, dates, series membership, and canonical links. - [Example record JSON](https://bullroarer.org/data/details/SAFR-004.json): Public detail files follow /data/details/{ID}.json, preserving ID capitalization.
